Origin
Ayan Deng graduated from the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts in 2017, co-founded Mountain Studio, and then created her own YAN Studio — a space where she pursues her own artistic projects and directs the development of the Dimoo series. For two years, she built an entire dream world, populated by strange creatures and silent stories, before Dimoo arrived at Pop Mart in 2019. Her character — a shy boy with a fluffy cloud in his hair and eyes full of dreams — became one of the four flagship IPs of the entire company.
Who is Dimoo
In the real world — a shy boy who wants to make new friends but is held back by fears. In his dream, he becomes an explorer. That's where Baby Cloud lives — a small cloud that hides in his hair and changes shape depending on his mood.
Visual language
A pastel palette, big eyes, rounded forms, scenes of reflection — Dimoo sits alone in the rain, floats in space, sleeps in an aquarium. Loneliness presented with tenderness, not sadness.
Inspirations
