Nyota: KAKA
Learn more →Nyota means star. And that says a lot about who created her. KAKA — an artist from the Pop Mart Design Center in China — chose a Swahili name for a character meant to be universal. A quiet introvert with a cat named Lumi, who lives slowly, attentively and without haste. In a world of art toys full of loud, sharp, showy characters, Nyota is something entirely different — and that's exactly why, within a few months of her debut, she became one of Pop Mart's best-selling characters in the US. Her world grows with every series: Fluffy Life, Growing Up by Your Way, I Am the Seasons, We Are All Stars. Each is a different chapter of the same calm story — that ordinary moments matter too.
