Wu Dandan, a designer at Pop Mart Design Center, created this character while observing her cat, Shaomai. Gentle and cuddly on a daily basis, he would become fiercely bristly when encountering a larger cat. This contradiction—soft inside, tough outside—became the heart of Zsiga. A rebellious, free, mischievous forest girl who is never malicious. Her spikes protect a vulnerability she doesn't want to show. Dandan believes that emotions should be expressed truthfully—good is good, bad is bad. Zsiga is her conversation with her inner child. From her debut in 2022, Walking Into the Forest, through We're So Cute, Gemini, Take It Slow, to collaborations with Care Bears—each series is a new chapter about the wild and the very fragile person who lives inside each of us.
