Somewhere in a basement, behind a door marked “Keep Out”, there's a lab where nothing goes to plan. Test tubes bubble in colours you won't find on any chart, suspicious smoke drifts up from the flasks, and something is moving in the tank under the ceiling. This is where the sixth series of Fuggler Keypers was born: ten little monsters who went through the experiments and came out even weirder than before. Some look like spilt paint, others like a flame, a rainbow trapped in a jar or a scrap of cosmic night. Each one has human teeth, a stare you'd be wise not to trust, and a carabiner, so you can clip it to your keys, backpack or handbag and keep an eye on it all day. Nobody knows which one will crawl out of the box. All we know is that it definitely won't behave.

Fuggler: Louise McGettrick
Learn more →Louise McGettrick was looking for a gift for her husband and ended up with a bag of fake teeth from eBay. She sewed them into a plush bear. Her husband was horrified. For her, it was a sign she was on the right track. And so, in 2010, the Fugglers were born — “Funny Ugly Monsters” — plush monsters with human teeth, button eyes and a mission to ruin your life deliberately and with charm. No plan, no budget, no marketing. Just a bag of dentures and a sense of humour that changed the rules of the game in the world of plush toys.
