The lab explosion happened at exactly the moment Oogah Boogah was walking past. You can still see the results. His fur is long and scruffy, in flaming pink, fuchsia, orange and yellow, like a firework frozen mid-bang. His eyes are two mismatched buttons, one blue and one green, looking in two different directions, and a pink tongue pokes out of a grin full of human teeth. He looks permanently shell-shocked, and he probably is. Best worn clipped to you, and kept well away from anything that might go boom.

Fuggler: Louise McGettrick - KICKOMI

Fuggler: Louise McGettrick

Learn more →

Louise McGettrick was looking for a gift for her husband and ended up with a bag of fake teeth from eBay. She sewed them into a plush bear. Her husband was horrified. For her, it was a sign she was on the right track. And so, in 2010, the Fugglers were born — “Funny Ugly Monsters” — plush monsters with human teeth, button eyes and a mission to ruin your life deliberately and with charm. No plan, no budget, no marketing. Just a bag of dentures and a sense of humour that changed the rules of the game in the world of plush toys.
