Someone left him overnight in a tank of fizzy liquid, and nobody has dared lift the lid since. Wide Eyed Weirdo floats among the bubbles like an exhibit from the world's strangest museum. His short fur comes in pastel stripes, from pink through sky blue to mint, like a rainbow dissolved in milk, and his huge yellow eyes stare through the glass so stubbornly that you're the one who looks away first. Human teeth in his grin, and in his gaze the calm of someone who knows that sooner or later somebody will let him out. Best worn clipped to you, before the tank starts to leak.

Fuggler: Louise McGettrick - KICKOMI

Fuggler: Louise McGettrick

Learn more →

Louise McGettrick was looking for a gift for her husband and ended up with a bag of fake teeth from eBay. She sewed them into a plush bear. Her husband was horrified. For her, it was a sign she was on the right track. And so, in 2010, the Fugglers were born — “Funny Ugly Monsters” — plush monsters with human teeth, button eyes and a mission to ruin your life deliberately and with charm. No plan, no budget, no marketing. Just a bag of dentures and a sense of humour that changed the rules of the game in the world of plush toys.
