Round-the-clock company from a little monster is an idea no sensible person would come up with. And yet there's no shortage of takers, and the red Munch Munch is first in the queue. His fur is red, swirled like a candle flame in a draught or a lollipop nobody got to lick because he ate it, stick and all. Round ears catch every rustle of a wrapper, and slit-pupil eyes track every crumb. Human teeth in his grin. Always hungry. Safest to keep him clipped to you, so he doesn't set off on a solo hunt through the kitchen cupboards. Though he'll catch something anyway. Nobody takes responsibility for whatever goes missing.

Fuggler: Louise McGettrick
Learn more →Louise McGettrick was looking for a gift for her husband and ended up with a bag of fake teeth from eBay. She sewed them into a plush bear. Her husband was horrified. For her, it was a sign she was on the right track. And so, in 2010, the Fugglers were born — “Funny Ugly Monsters” — plush monsters with human teeth, button eyes and a mission to ruin your life deliberately and with charm. No plan, no budget, no marketing. Just a bag of dentures and a sense of humour that changed the rules of the game in the world of plush toys.
