Agee, Yep and the boy who doesn't shout to exist
Two artists with social anxiety created a character that speaks for them — not in words, but in form.
Agee and Yep are an artist duo who, in 2020, created the character "Haci" within their studio PINKBOOMSTUDIO — a shy boy with big eyes and double eyelids, ordinary but a little bit special. Both value their privacy and don't feel comfortable expressing themselves in words. Social anxiety is part of their personality — and that's exactly why Hacipupu is so authentic. This isn't a commissioned project, it's a self-portrait in the form of a figure.
Hacipupu is a quiet, well-mannered boy with a vivid imagination — prominent double eyelids, big eyes, elf ears. He befriends everything: dolls, toys, small animals. He often hides his hands shyly behind his back. But inside he holds a rich, warm, imaginative world.
Silence as strength
Hacipupu is a response to social anxiety — a character who doesn't have to be loud to exist. For adults with social anxiety he's a little mirror that says: your quiet world is beautiful and enough. Agee and Yep communicate their inner world through design, not through words — Hacipupu is their voice.
The child inside
The creators design Hacipupu through the "pure and beautiful gaze of a child", appreciating ordinary people who do something important every day. It's a tribute to the everyday and to invisible heroes — an invitation for everyone to find warm company in their own little world.
Hacipupu stands quietly, hands behind his back, with his whole inner world — and asks only: do you have a moment to sit beside him?

Beyond the blind boxes, Agee and Yep create limited art figures — Nine Tailed Fox (only 60 units) or Pitaya (195 units). They deliberately stay anonymous themselves; a signing event in Bali in 2025 was one of their few public appearances.
